    Mike and Shaun this video is excellent and has me curious about lead shoulder speed. I believe I’ve seen all your videos and can’t recall a lead shoulder profile as described here with the hands. Would be awesome to see pro lead shoulder comparisons exactly as done with the hands in this video. For example where does the maximum lead shoulder speed happen? And how do the pros compare in this regard? I’m very interested in seeing if I can achieve the proper hand speed profile by slowing my lead shoulder move starting down.

    Great video as always, guys! The idea of disassociating the movement of the hips with the movement of the knees has, and continues to, blow my mind. I've always just sort of thought of "the lower body" as one single thing but I'm working to understand the movements needed, joint by joint from the ground up. In trying to get my mind around the concept discussed in this video (hip movement relative to knee movement), would you say that it is accurate to think of the foot to the knee as a single unit and the hip as a separate unit or is it inaccurate to think of the knee and the foot that way? Obviously the foot moves independently of the knee and both influence each other, but I'm wondering if it's appropriate to consider the foot and knee as one unit to train this concept of the hip and knee movement relative to each other? (without a ball, in slow motion, of course! - not full swings)

    You have saved my golf game and my back. I am newly back to golf after a three years and a lifetime of playing average golf. I was determined to start from scratch and lean a good swing. I found an instructor and after seeing me swing 3 times, he told me to get my left shoulder pointed at the ball. This sent me down the side bend rabbit hole. After two days of practicing, I couldn’t hit the ball, couldn’t swing the club without contorting my body. I woke up in pain. I stumbled onto this video and realized that this IS my new swing. This video, the shallowing video and several others were my blueprint for my new swing and I took it from concept to the course without hitting a single range ball. I swung freely, and although I was pushing shots to the right with a straight ball flight, my distances and trajectory were exactly what I was looking for. I was a little hesitant, so my distances were a bit short (175 yard 6 iron) but contact was good. I plan on taking this to the range and practicing drills and recording my swing and basing my feels on reality. Thank you guys and keep up the good work!

      Anatomy, Shoulder and Upper Limb, Hand Anatomical Snuff Box Sasha Hallett; Felix Jozsa; John V. Ashurst. Author Information and Affiliations Last Update: February 19, 2023. Go to: Introduction The anatomical snuffbox is a surface anatomy feature described as a triangular depression on the dorsum of the hand at the base of the thumb. The anatomical snuffbox is prominently visible upon ulnar deviation of the wrist and extension and abduction of the thumb. Its name was derived from using the depression as a means of placement for the inhalation of powdered tobacco, otherwise known as dry snuff. It was first described in the medical literature in 1850.[1] However, the anatomical snuffbox was not introduced into anatomy textbooks until the early 1900s when it was described by Germain Cloquet and Marie Francois Bichat.[2] :)

    I’ve always struggled getting my hands deeper in the backswing. Just thinking about this topic, would the lead shoulder being too tilted toward the ball in the backswing contribute to shallow depth at the top? Seems like in theory it’d be way harder to move your hands deeper with a really steep shoulder turn.

    • @AthleticMotionGolf
      @AthleticMotionGolf 11 дней назад

      The hands only move a few inches across the body, depth comes from turn. Anyone we’ve seen who is trying to get their shoulders steep, does so at the expense of not getting their lead shoulder across enough (turn). What you said is something we see every day.

    • @DeronSizemore
      @DeronSizemore 11 дней назад
